At the pub

When we went to the beach we ate in a local hotel (pub). It was my first time in a pub and I enjoyed it. I received lots of attention from the staff and people eating. Mummy wants to go back to the beach next year when I'll be able to paddle in the sea. Daddy said that he'll just sit in the pub ;)

Easter Sunday at the beach

Today Mummy and Daddy took me to Mornington where there are nice beaches. Mornington is about an hour drive from home. We went for a nice walk by the beach (although I was in my stroller).

Photos from my tuesday playgroup

On tuesdays Mummy takes me to Parents Group (but there are no Daddies there only Mummies). Here I am with my friends - I'm at the bottom of the picture on the pink blanket. Some of the babies are twice my age. As you can see our Mummies always make sure we look cute.

My Melbourne Grand Prix.

Hi Everyone. I spent the Grand Prix hanging out with my Dad while he tried to work on his computer ;) It reached 39.1C during the Grand Prix so I was really hot. It's been really warm here the last few days so I haven't kept up with the blog.

I received a trinket box for my first curl of hair today from my Auntie Angela! Here's a photo of me with the card she sent - Thankyou Auntie Angela ;)

Playing with the gang

Daddy and Mummy love to play with me and I like to reward them with a nice smile.

My progress

My assessment went really well on Friday! I'm a great example of an 8 week old being able to support one's own head. I now weigh 4.73 kg (10 lb 7 oz) thanks to Mummy's milk and I've grown 7cm since birth (I'm now 57cm long) and my head circumference has increased by 5cm to 38cm.

In the week ahead

I turn 8 weeks old next Wednesday (5 March). Perhaps soon Mummy and Daddy will teach me about counting my age in months! I have a health assessment appointment next Friday at 11am where I'll receive an update on my weight, length and head circumference. The maternal nurse will assess my gross motor development, my vision and fine motor skills. My speech and hearing will be assessed as will my social behaviour and play. I'll make sure I tell the nurse about my blog :)

The nurse will also discuss some other matters with my parents - things like Mummy's wellbeing, immunization, parenting (family functioning, relationships, changes) and injury prevention. I'm excited!

With Mummy

It's the 1st of March today and my first ever March day! It's a nice day so Mummy and I had a few pictures taken of us by Daddy.
